Job Description

The Pipefitter is responsible for selecting appropriate types and sizes of pipes and related materials, including supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, based on job specifications.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine piping requirements.

  • Measures, cuts, threads, assembles, and installs piping systems in various settings.

  • Ensures proper fitting and alignment of pipes and related components.

  • Performs welding, soldering, and brazing as needed for secure connections.

  • Conducts pressure tests and inspections to verify system integrity and safety.

  • Maintains tools and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

  • Collaborates with other construction or maintenance professionals to complete projects efficiently.
