Job Description

The Pipefitter is responsible for selecting the appropriate type and size of pipe, supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders based on job specifications.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine pipe layout and installation requirements.

  • Cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes to fit designated spaces and configurations.

  • Measuring and marking pipework accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.

  • Installing and securing pipe systems, including supports and hangers, to ensure stability and safety.

  • Connecting pipe sections using welding, threading, or other methods, and testing systems for leaks and functionality.

  • Maintaining tools and equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring work complies with industry standards.
